The weekend could not have come any sooner. I am looking forward to a whole lot of relaxing of sorts, and no one could be properly relaxed without a delicious sweet treat waiting to get consumed, right?

I have the perfect recipe for proper indulgence this weekend. Did you notice how this only happens on Fridays? I need loads of restraint during the week, so Fridays are normally the day I luxuriate in sugary treats the size of Joburg.

This recipe of Bar One and Marshmallow Pinwheels are pretty damn easy and insanely addictive, let me tell you. I used a roll of puff pastry I had in the freezer and chopped op a whole lot of bar one chocolate bars and fluffy marshmallows to fill it with.

The result is a crispy pastry with chocolate and sticky caramel – and of course oozy marshmallow!

I used a roll of puff pastry I had in the freezer and chopped op a whole lot of bar one chocolate bars and fluffy marshmallows to fill it with and baked it in the oven to perfection.

Instructions
  1. First off, prepare a baking tin with non stick spray and preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Dust a clean surface with flour and gently roll the puff pastry out.
  3. Chop the chocolate bars and marshmallows into small pieces and scatter over the pastry.
  4. Roll the pastry up, cut in slices of about 3 cm thick, and arrange in the baking tin. Brush tops of pastry with melted butter.
  5. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 – 25 minutes.
