Easy Low Carb Savoy Cabbage and Beef Bites
These savoy cabbage beef bites are low carb and banting friendly. More reason to tuck in with creamy homemade tzatziki on the side. Only a few words describe this deliciously, easy lunch or dinner idea. Crunchy goodness…
So yes this is a completely low carb version. But, if you like to have your daily dose of carbs, why not serve the whole shebang in a warmed up pita bread or wrap? Delish!
How To Make Savoy Cabbage Beef Bites
So let’s get to the bottom of this. Like I mentioned before, leftover steak works great for this recipe. Any leftover roasted meat or chicken will be perfect to use. Otherwise, simply sear and cook your steak to your liking and fill those cabbage cups up!
First off give your remove your cabbage leaves, and give them a good wash. Choose the ones you are going to use and dry them with a paper towel. Next, if you have your meat ready, simply slice some fresh carrot in fine strips or ribbons to add to the cup. Heck, you can cut up any fresh veggie for an easy raw vegan cabbage cup version.
Lastly, a quick cucumber tzatziki adds plenty of creamy deliciousness. I’m getting carried away!
Don’t diss the cabbage! If you come to dislike the cabbage vibe, you can easily replace it with lettuce. Of course, lettuce cups are ALSO pretty darn great – and there are loads of filling inspiration online.
Enjoy with a nice glass of sparkling wine…or two…
