Ingredients

cloves
garlic

birds eye chili

onion

green pepper

olive oil

basmati rice
uncooked

teaspoon
salt

lemon
juice retained
fresh parsley
to garnish
Instructions
In a medium saucepan add the olive oil and sauté the garlic, chilli, onion and peppers until onion is translucent.
Add your rice to this and mix through. Add the indicated amount of water to cook.
Heat it up until it starts to boil, add salt, cover and reduce heat.
Check if cooked after 10 minutes; add another minute or so with the lid on to allow the steam to do its work.
Add the lemon juice and stir it through by flipping the rice with a fork. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve as a side dish with fish or chicken.
