Easy quiche pastry
  1. Add all the dry ingredients and mix.
  2. Next add all the wet ingredients and work with your fingers until easy manageable dough is formed.
  3. Line your tart or quiche tin with dough by pushing it firmly down with your fingers.
  4. No need to blind bake this dough, simply add your filling to the raw crust and bake desired time.
Caramelized red onion and parmesan filling
  1. In a saucepan, heat the oil and sauté the garlic and onions until translucent.
  2. Add the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar. Allow to cook on low heat for 10 minutes until caramelized. Season.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix the eggs, milk, cheddar cheese and half the parmesan. Add the onions.
  4. Mix well and carefully pour into raw pastry crusts.
  5. Sprinkle the rest of parmesan over the topping and bake for 30 – 40 minutes at 180 degrees celcius.
